UNDERTOW: The Abyss (the "App," "we," "us") is a paid iOS game published by BESSL Framework, an independent studio based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This policy explains what the App collects, why, who processes it, and the rights you have. The App is works without an account: there is no login, and we do not build a profile of you.

1. What we collect

We do not collect any personal data. UNDERTOW is a one-time purchase on the App Store with no advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no analytics. The App includes no advertising SDK or analytics SDK (such as Google AdMob or Firebase), and we do not run a developer server that receives data from the App. Because the App does not track you, it never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, and it does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).

On-device data (stored only on your device)

  • Your Vault, game records, and settings (sound and haptics) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not uploaded to us and does not leave your device, except through your own iCloud or device backup, which is controlled by Apple and your settings.

Leaderboard: Apple Game Center (optional)

  • If you are signed in to Game Center, the game submits a single score, your best banked depth for a successful run, to an Apple Game Center leaderboard so you can compare it with other players. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and the game submits no other information. If you are not signed in to Game Center, nothing is submitted, and the game works the same either way.

2. Why we collect it

We do not collect personal data, so there is nothing to use beyond the following:

  • To save your progress and settings on your device (local storage).
  • To submit your best banked depth to the leaderboard, only if you choose to sign in to Game Center.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

3. Who processes your data (third parties)

The App relies on one provider, Apple, for distribution and, if you use it, the leaderboard:

  • Apple (App Store, Game Center): app distribution, purchase processing for the one-time App Store purchase, and leaderboards. Apple Privacy Policy.

We run no servers of our own that store your personal data, and we do not transfer data to any third party.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK GDPR)

We do not process personal data from the App. Your App Store purchase and any Game Center score are processed by Apple as an independent controller under Apple's own privacy policy.

5. Retention

  • On-device data (Vault, records, settings) remains until you delete the App or clear its data.
  • We keep no copy of your data on our own systems, because we do not collect any.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your data: delete the App to remove all on-device data. We store nothing on our own servers, so deleting the App erases everything we could otherwise access. A leaderboard score you submitted stays with Apple; you can remove Game Center data in your Apple Account settings.
  • GDPR rights (EEA / UK): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. Because we collect no personal data, there is typically nothing on file to act on beyond confirming this.
  • CCPA / CPRA rights (California): to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing." We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.
  • Korea (Personal Information Protection Act): the rights to access, correct, delete, and suspend processing of your personal information.

7. Children

UNDERTOW: The Abyss is not directed to children. It is a general-audience game and is not intended for, or targeted at, children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

UNDERTOW: The Abyss(이하 "본 앱")는 대한민국 서울에 기반한 독립 스튜디오 BESSL Framework가 제공하는 유료 iOS 게임입니다. 본 방침은 본 앱이 무엇을, 왜 수집하며, 누가 처리하고, 이용자가 어떤 권리를 갖는지 설명합니다. 본 앱은 계정 없이 동작하도록 설계되었으며, 로그인이 없고, 이용자 프로필을 별도로 만들지 않습니다.

1. 수집하는 정보

본 앱은 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다. UNDERTOW는 App Store에서 1회 구매하는 유료 앱으로, 광고· 인앱 구매·구독·분석 기능이 없습니다. 본 앱에는 광고 SDK나 분석 SDK(Google AdMob, Firebase 등)가 포함되어 있지 않으며, 앱으로부터 정보를 수신하는 자체 서버도 운영하지 않습니다. 본 앱은 이용자를 추적하지 않으므로 Apple의 앱 추적 투명성(ATT) 동의창을 띄우지 않으며, 광고 식별자(IDFA)를 사용하지 않습니다.

기기 내 저장 정보 (이용자 기기에만 저장)

  • Vault, 게임 기록, 설정(사운드·햅틱)은 표준 iOS 저장 방식으로 이용자 기기에 로컬로 저장됩니다. 이 정보는 당사로 업로드되지 않으며, Apple과 이용자 설정이 관리하는 iCloud·기기 백업을 제외하고는 기기를 벗어나지 않습니다.

리더보드: Apple Game Center (선택)

  • Game Center에 로그인되어 있으면, 다른 플레이어와 비교할 수 있도록 게임이 단일 점수(뱅킹에 성공한 최고 깊이)를 Apple Game Center 리더보드에 제출합니다. 이는 Apple의 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 Apple이 처리하며, 그 외 정보는 제출하지 않습니다. Game Center에 로그인되어 있지 않으면 아무것도 제출되지 않으며, 게임은 어느 쪽이든 동일하게 동작합니다.

2. 수집·이용 목적

본 앱은 개인정보를 수집하지 않으므로 다음 외에는 이용할 정보가 없습니다.

  • 기기 내 진행 상황과 설정 저장 (로컬 저장)
  • Game Center 로그인을 선택한 경우에만, 최고 뱅킹 깊이를 리더보드에 제출

당사는 이용자의 개인정보를 판매하거나 공유하지 않으며, 앱·웹사이트 간 이용자를 추적하지 않습니다.

3. 개인정보를 처리하는 제3자

본 앱은 배포와, 이용 시 리더보드를 위해 한 사업자인 Apple에 의존합니다.

당사는 이용자 개인정보를 저장하는 자체 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 제3자에게 정보를 이전하지 않습니다.

4. 처리의 법적 근거 (EEA / 영국 GDPR)

당사는 본 앱에서 개인정보를 처리하지 않습니다. App Store 구매와 Game Center 점수는 Apple이 독립된 개인정보처리자로서 Apple의 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 처리합니다.

5. 보관 기간

  • 기기 내 정보(Vault, 기록, 설정)는 앱을 삭제하거나 데이터를 지우기 전까지 유지됩니다.
  • 당사는 수집하는 정보가 없으므로, 자체 시스템에 이용자 정보의 사본을 보관하지 않습니다.

6. 이용자의 선택과 권리

  • 데이터 삭제: 앱을 삭제하면 기기 내 모든 정보가 제거됩니다. 당사 서버에는 아무것도 저장하지 않으므로, 앱 삭제로 당사가 접근할 수 있는 정보가 모두 사라집니다. 제출한 리더보드 점수는 Apple에 남으며, Apple 계정 설정의 Game Center에서 삭제할 수 있습니다.
  • GDPR 권리(EEA / 영국): 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리 제한, 이의 제기, 이동권. 당사는 개인정보를 수집하지 않으므로 통상 조치할 정보 자체가 없으며, 요청 시 이를 확인해 드립니다.
  • CCPA / CPRA 권리(캘리포니아): 열람권, 삭제권, 정정권, "판매"·"공유" 거부권. 당사는 개인정보를 수집·판매·공유하지 않습니다.
  • 대한민국(개인정보 보호법): 개인정보 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리정지 요구권.

7. 아동

UNDERTOW: The Abyss는 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다. 일반 이용자용 게임이며, 만 13세 미만(또는 국가별 최소 연령 미만) 아동을 대상으로 하거나 겨냥하지 않습니다. 당사는 누구로부터도 개인정보를 수집하지 않으므로, 아동의 개인정보 또한 알면서 수집하지 않습니다. 아동이 개인정보를 제공했다고 판단되면 연락 주시면 삭제하겠습니다.

8. 방침의 변경

앱의 변화에 따라 본 방침을 갱신할 수 있습니다. 중요한 변경은 새 최종 개정일과 함께 이 페이지에 반영됩니다. 갱신 후 계속 이용하시면 개정된 방침에 동의하는 것으로 봅니다.
